Your Confluence space, published as a documentation site on your own domain.
SpaceSite is a small app for Confluence Cloud. Each time a page is published, it renders the whole space as a fast, accessible static site, with navigation, table of contents, search, sitemap and llms.txt. There is no licence per reader or per writer.
How it works
- Install the app and choose a space. Pages with view restrictions are left out by default.
- Check a private preview. A report lists anything that will not render as it does in Confluence, before anyone else sees it.
- Go live on your domain, for example docs.yourcompany.com. From then on every publish updates the site.
Measured on the test space this week: a published change reached the site in 2.4 seconds (median of 20, maximum 4.0).
What you get
- A page tree, breadcrumbs and a table of contents on every page.
- Search that runs in the browser, plus sitemap.xml, robots.txt and llms.txt for crawlers and language models.
- Your own domain with TLS, and an optional password for the whole site.
- Images and attachments copied to the site, so readers never hit a Confluence login.
- Plain, accessible HTML that reads without JavaScript.
- A "delete site" button that removes everything within a day.
The app only reads. It never writes to Confluence, and it asks for read scopes only.
Space Exporter
Alongside the app there will be a free exporter, on the web and as an open-source command line tool. Give it a space and it returns Markdown or static HTML, with a hosted preview that stays online for seven days. Useful on its own, and the quickest way to see what SpaceSite would make of your space.
